Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all adults working in our Trust, whether staff or volunteers, to share this commitment. All appointments made to the Central Team or Owlcotes schools are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Volunteering at the Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust

    Co-Opted Governor Opportunities

Local Governing Boards at Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust schools make a valuable contribution to children's education, opportunities and futures. Volunteering as a Governor is a meaningful way to be involved with the community and also to develop your own strategic skills and gain non-executive director experience. The following schools have opportunities for Co-opted Governors to join their Local Governing Board, click the links below to find out how to express your interest in these opportunities:

Governors are appointed on a 4-year term and appointments can be renewed for as long as the individual remains eligible. Local Governing Boards meet four times per academic year, usually after the working day. LGB meetings are focused on current developments in schools, monitoring and analysis of data, and future planning. Owlcotes schools aim to foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere during meetings where any and all contributions are welcome.

If you are interested in volunteering at any of our schools, aside from volunteering on a school's LGB, please contact the individual school office to discuss this further. All volunteers would need to complete an application form, provide references and any offers are made subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
